WTE – Women Technology Entrepreneurs is funded under the Lifelong Learning Multilateral Projects, Networks, Accompanying measures – Call for Proposals DG EAC/31/08 -Sub-Programme: Leonardo Multi lateral -Ref: 2009-5193/001 – 001. The duration of the project is 24 months. The coordinators of the project are Meath Partnership, Ireland and the partners are: The Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs – Malta, E-Learning concepts Rietsch KEG – Austria, Future Missions – Finland, Instituto de Formación Integral, S.L.U. – Estonia, Northern Lithuania College – Lithuania, European Prospect – Greece and AD IT Training Centre – Latvia.
Maryrose Francica and Angele Giuliano attended the third partner meeting which was held on the 1st and 2nd April 2011 in Sigulda, Latvia. WTE aims to address the educational deficit by developing curricula that focus on the needs of Women seeking career opportunities as technology entrepreneurs. The curricula will merges technology and entrepreneurship, two areas with low female input. This will facilitate closer links with the world of work while addressing the current educational deficit in entrepreneurship training.
A digital opportunities road map for women will support entrepreneurial activity and continuous engagement with the concept of Lifelong Learning with strategies to move women into higher value markets.
